Everyday Make up: Quick and Easy.

Putting on make up daily can be very time consuming, I don't wear make up everyday but when I do this is my go to look for the daytime because it takes me about 15mins. I have shown how to wear it with a nude lip and with a vibrant lip because it differs on the lip I like to wear all the time so I wanted to give you the option to suit yourself. Now onto the tutorial.

1. First I start off with Foundation, Concealer and powder. This foundation is Infinite Matt by Catrice cosmetics, I included this foundation in my recent Weekly Favourites post It is a mattifying foundation so it is perfect for everyday wear. For concealer I am using Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer I always use this concealer because it gives my under eyes a flawless natural glow. I then set all of this with my Mattify cosmetics setting Powder which I talked about in my Mattify Cosmetics review.

2. Next I fill in my eye brows with the Lancome Superfine Automatic Brow Pencil in Deep Brown, When I am going for a natural look I don't like to go too heavy on my brows I just fill them in with this and lightly go over them with the darkest powder from the MUA pro brow kit. I then set it all in place by brushing some clear mascara by MUA over my brows.

3. Next I add some dimension and colour to my face by first contouring my cheekbones, forehead and nose with my Bourjois Delice de Poudre in shade 52, For my blush I am using the Sleek blush in Rose Gold and lastly for highlighter I am using Flormar all over powder from The Lights of Flowers Collection I don't think they have this on sale any more it was part of a limited edition collection that I bought during the summer I am sorry if you cant get it but I will put a link to their website below check them out their products are amazing.

4. Now onto the eyes this step is so quick and easy. I take Elf's Jumbo Eye Shadow Stick in French Lace and I run this along the inner corner of my eyes and blend with my finger, These eyeshadow sticks by elf are very handy when you are in a rush. Next I take my bronzer that I used on my face any bronzer will do here and I just blend this into my crease with a fluffy blending brush, this will add some definition to my eyes. I then add some mascara I am using The Rocket by Maybelline and They're Real by Benefit.

5.For the lips I went for a nude look and then a vibrant coral-pink look. For the nude look I used Mac Creme D'Nude and Revlon Colourstay Lip gloss in Pink Ice to give the lip a softer look. Then for the Coral-Pink look I used the Essence Lipliner in Wish Me a Rose and the Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 01 coral Calling Once applied the look is complete.

This look is super easy and quick to re create. I will add a few pictures below of both lip colours and a close up of the eyes I will also link all of the products where possible. I hope you found this post helpful, I also filmed my first tutorial the other day for a rose gold eye I will also link that below so check it out and please give it a like it would be much appreciated and as always thanks for reading :).

Mattify Cosmetics Review

Mattify Cosmetics are a cruelty free 95% vegan company. They have 3 products which are not vegan and one of them is their highlighter which will be featured in this post, Their products are mainly designed for those with oily skin and are mostly powder based. They offer a variety of products for the face, eyes and lips and they were generous enough to let me pick 4 products from their website. I received these products about a week ago and I have been trying them out over the past week so I would be able to give and honest opinion on all 4 products.

First off I want to mention the packaging of all products in general. They come in little clear circular containers with a screw on/off lid, I love the packaging because it is simple and I can clearly see what is in the container when I have it stored with the rest of my make up I don't have to open it up too see what it is. They also have a little sticker on the bottom with their logo and the name/shade of the product which is simple and practical. Now onto the products.

1. Mattify Original Transparent powder.
This powder comes in 3 different options, They have Mattify original which is the one I got, this is aimed at people with combination skin and retails at $7.99 ,Mattify ULTRA which is aimed at people with very oily skin and retails at $12.99 and lastly, Mattify sensitive which is aimed at people with sensitive skin and retails at $10.99. I absolutely love this powder I use it to set my under eye concealer. It gives my under eyes a flawless finish and keeps my concealer on all day. The picture below is the powder just applied and at the end of the day, there isn't any major difference in the 2 pictures. I would 100% recommend this powder it is amazing quality and great value.

2. Mattify Long Lasting Blush in Harmony.
This blush is the perfect natural flush of pink for fair complexions, It has made its way into my all time favourite blushes. It gives my skin a natural healthy wash of colour. On the Mattify website they have 3 blushes all designed for different skin tones, Harmony is for fair complexions, Strawberry Wine is for cool skin tones and Terra Cotta is for warm skin tones. These blushes retail at $2.50 which is amazing value for the quality of this blush.

3. Mattify Highlighter.
This product is a beautiful pinky highlighter, It has tiny bits of silver glitter which give the skin a beautiful glow. I apply this product to the tops of my cheekbones, my chin and my nose. The only thing I would recommend is for them to maybe have one or two more shades of highlighter just because this one is on the pinky side and not everybody likes pink toned highlighters but other than that it is a beautiful product. This product retails at $7.99 which is a very reasonable price you can also buy a bronzer and a highlighter for $14. Below are some swatches of this product.

4. Long Lasting Eye shadow in Summer Storm.
These eye shadows come in a variety of colours from different collections, This particular colour is from the Rich Jewels Collection. This eye shadow is extremely pigmented it is a stone grey shade with little bits of silver glitter. I am going to do an eye tutorial using this eyeshadow maybe a going out look or something like that because this colour is so pretty. All of their eyeshadows retail at $4.99, they also have little bags with 4 eye shadows for $14.99. Below are some swatches of this product.

My Weekly Favourites.

I realise that I haven't done a weekly favourites post in over a month purely because my favourites had not varied that much, but recently most of my everyday/ go to products have changed, So today's post is going to be a weekly/recent favourites post. The products are a mixture of affordable and high end I hope you enjoy.

1. Catrice Prime and Fine Anti-Red base.
Recently, I have run out of my L'Oreal Lumi Magique so I wanted to try and test a new primer for a week or so to give an honest opinion. I love this primer it is a green colour but blends in once applied to the skin, It does have glitter in it but I wear a semi matte foundation over it just to cancel out some of the glitter. This primer also comes in Anti-shine and pore refining. Overall I love this primer it evens out my skin tone and hides my redness, This primer retails at €4.49 which is a brilliant price for an everyday primer.

[caption id="attachment_397" align="alignnone" width="300"]What this primer looks like before (top right) and after (bottom right) being blended out. What this primer looks like before (top right) and after (bottom right) being blended out.[/caption]

2. Catrice Infinite Matt 18hr Foundation.
I have used this foundation for years now but I recently re-discovered it in my collection. I completely forgot how amazing this foundation is. The consistency is very creamy but not thick, when applied it feels like your skin it is not heavy at all yet it covers everything I do not use a concealer on my spots/ blemishes once I apply this foundation I only use one under my eyes. I have used it on a few friends when doing their make up and it looks good on all skin types from what I have seen. This foundation retails at €6.99 which is amazing for the quality.

3. Real techniques Buffing Brush.
I have always used my Blank canvas Cosmetics F20 to apply my foundation, But recently I have been loving this brush by Real Techniques. It takes a little longer to blend foundation but it gives a flawless natural finish in my opinion. This brush comes as part of the Core collection which retails at €28.99.

2-Buffing-Brush-1

4. Lancome Superfine Automatic Brow Pencil.
I have always used the same pencil for my brows so when I received this product I was intrigued to use it and see how good it was and I was not disappointed. When applied in short strokes to my eyebrow the superfine tip makes it look like natural hair. It gives a natural look to my eyebrows. This product retails at €26.07 Not the cheapest product but 100% worth the money. I am using the colour 22 Deep Brown.

Let me know if you have used any of these products and if you have liked / disliked them , I am going to keep on top of my weekly favourites from now on I will post my weekly favourites every 2 weeks And as always thanks for reading :)

My Top 5 Mascaras

Mascara is an essential when you are wearing make up even if you are not mascara can still be worn alone. I have narrowed my favourite mascaras down to 5, these are the ones I am constantly re purchasing and using on a daily basis. Some are high end and some are affordable.

1. They're Real by Benefit.
This mascara has been raved about for so long in the beauty world. At first, I was very hesitant to purchase this because of the price. I first tried it out when I bought a benefit set and there was a sample size in the set, Once I tried this mascara I had to go and get a full size which retails at €26 here in Ireland. It is a very expensive price for a mascara but you also get a sample size with the full size.

IMG_2389

2. The Rocket by Maybelline..
This is my favourite affordable mascara without a doubt. I usually wear this and They're real together they give an amazing false lash effect to my lashes. This mascara retails at €7.99 here in Ireland which is a bargain when you take the quality of this product into account.

IMG_2390

3. Glamour Doll Mascara by Catrice.
This is the most affordale mascaara of the 5. I love this mascara for volume and length. This mascara retails at €4.49 here in Ireland which is a great price for such a good mascara.

IMG_2391

4. Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara.
This mascara is one of the ones that has the twistable wand to change the settings. Number 1 is for length and drama and number 2 is for length and definition. Honestly, I don't see any major difference in either of the settings so in the picture below I have applied one coat of each. I think I bought this mascara for about €4 on sale.

IMG_2392

5. Christian Dior Ultimeyes Mascra.
This is probably the second most expensive mascara out of the 5 just behind They're real. I love the natural look this mascara gives my lashes, it is a great mascara for everyday subtle make up. This mascara retails at around €25 here in Ireland which is very expensive but I think its worth a try.

Daytime Rose Gold Eye make up.

This week I decided different to try something in relation to eye make up. I am currently waiting for my Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay to arrive and because the Naked 3 palette is based on a rose gold colour scheme I have created a daytime look based on this colour scheme and here is how you can re-create it yourself.

I am starting off with a new primer. This one is the Smooth Skin Perfecting primer by NYC (New York Colour).
I recently ran our of my L'Oreal Lumi Magique primer so I wanted to find a cheaper alternative and this primer is the exact same but a lot cheaper, it retails at €3.50 here in Ireland. I then apply my Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory followed by the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in Ivory. I apply my concealer in a triangle shape under my eyes to highlight.

IMG_2257

I then set my concealer and foundation using Mac Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NW15. To contour I am using Bourjois Delice de Poudre in shade 52. I apply this under my cheekbones , the outside of my forehead and down the sides of my nose.

IMG_2258

Now onto the eyes. First I am using Clinique Touch tint for eyes in 02 Pink Sheen. This is a coloured base to help the rose toned eye shadows to stick. This step is not compulsory. The eye shadows I am using are all from the Clinique Colour surge collection. I am starting off with the shade 259 Confetti all over my lid, then the shade 303 Lucky Penny in the middle of my lid.

IMG_2259

I then take the shade 294 Rose Pebble and place this all over my lid, before I used this colour I sprayed my brush with some Fix+ by Mac to intensify the colour. To highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes I am using the shade 319 Daybreak. I take the shade 330 Gold Rush and blend this under my lower lash line. To add some contour to the eyes you can use any matte brown or your bronzer, I am using Go Charlie Brown by Catrice.

IMG_2260

For my brows i am trying a new product which is the Lancome Superfine Automatic Brow Pencil in Deep Brown. I used this to create a shape then I filled my brows in using the darkest shade in the MUA (Make Up Academy) Pro Brow Kit. I then used a clear mascara to set my brows.(I know this mascara in the picture is not clear but it was when I bought it.)

IMG_2261

I then add black pencil eye-liner to my tight line (the line under your top lashes). I am using Urban Decays 24hr Glide on pencil in Zero. I am also using Eye Bright by Benefit on my waterline. For mascara I am using Lancome Hypnose mascara and Dior Ultimeyes. i love the natural look that these mascaras give my lashes.

IMG_2262

To finish off this look I add Sleek Rose Gold Blush and the highlighter from the Sleek Face Contour Kit in Medium. For my lips i am using 01 Natural Beauty by Essence.

IMG_2263

I will leave a link below to all the products I used in this post. I hope you guys liked this look , I will hopefully have my Naked 3 Palette soon so keep a look out for a review on that or maybe a post comparing all 3 naked palettes. As always thanks for reading :).
